Better than a Pot O’Gold
October 6th, 2008Hilarious
September 21st, 2008If you’ve never read the good book, well now you have an alternative version: The Brick Testament
I think there is something wrong with seeing Lego Adam and Eve going at it.
Read and enjoy…
Hey…
May 20th, 2008I know it’s been awhile, but I’m gonna start updating this more often and probably with more cool news, science, and math stuff.
As for me, I have my comprehensive exams in Aug. (which makes for a fun summer of studying) and I got engaged a few days ago, so come next June there’ll be a wedding. If you want some information you can check out this компютриsite and if you want to click on one of the ads feel free… just once of course.
Take it easy kids.
Ouch…
April 9th, 2008So I apologize for not updating much lately… well not updating at all. Don’t worry a punishment has already been handed down, I managed to cut my poor little pinky (one previous fractured and dislocated) while breaking a glass light cover of Kim’s. Didn’t even notice until there was this red stuff dripping out of my hand while I was helping pick up the pieces. I didn’t really care much for this event, but I was taken care of nicely.
Anywho, a quick update: almost done with the Spring semester (classes are a bit of a bitch), looking for something to do over the summer (hopefully that one camp will call… or I could really look for something), gonna be looking for a new apartment for the next year (or years), and after finishing the biostatistics program I may hop to the geography department for a year and a half… so school will be all over soon enough… oh, and I’m really happy. thanks.
Anything else you want? Look for a random update once and awhile.
The Eye
March 14th, 2008This one got a little back logged, ops.
So I’m pretty much going to write about any movie I see and the most recent one was The Eye, starring the amazing (and not her talent) actress Jessica Alba. I never saw the original, so I can’t compare, but this version was all right. Though I have to admit that for a suspense/horror movie it wasn’t too suspenseful or scary, I mean there were parts where the I twitched… but that was because of the sudden-surprise factor.

So the basic premise is this blind chick has a retina transplant to correct her vision and starts to see all this wacky stuff. At first she doesn’t really think much of it because she doesn’t know what things are supposed to look like and such. But after seeing people walk through her or taken away by a shadowy figure she figures out whats going on. Turns out her retina donor was a young girl that could see the spirit world… I know, creepy. I won’t give away the ending, but it’s a little cheesy.

Lego My Eggo
March 12th, 2008So Eggo makes Lego waffles… and it is amazing, now if only I ate waffles or had a toaster-oven to toast them in. (Spring Break Special though).

For those of you who might not know, Legos are pretty much the most amazing toys EVER! The company/product just turned 50 a few weeks ago, which is sweet, and they’re starting to make decent sets again. I used to have a big Lego city in my basement… it was nice, I could spend hours down there using my imagination. Perhaps some day I’ll have another one, that’d be cool.
Wii
March 11th, 2008I’ve decided that I’m going to have to get a Nintendo Wii… mainly because something “happened” to my Gamecube’s memory card and all that saved information and effort gone, so why not get something with internal memory and that will play all my old games (even use the old controllers).
The other main reason is because of a new game coming out this Spring… thats right the greatest series in Nintendo history continues: Mariokart. I can only imagine how sweet it is going to be and its not like I wouldn’t play it a lot (only 14 at a time). I think the bestpart will be the real-time online play… a little brotherly love and ass-whipping from a few hundred miles arpart, nothing brings family closer. Oh and the new Bomberman looks pretty sweet and is one of the best multi-player fun games out there.
So if you’d like to make a donation to the “Get Kris A Wii” Foundation please leave your information and donation amount below. Or maybe I can just say I’m treating myself after a decent school-year of hard work and awesome TA-ing, right?
Spring Ahead
March 8th, 2008Spring ahead sucks monkeys (yeah, thats a technical term), but on the bright-side I won a trip to Vegas for myself and a pretty girl. Yeah, who said playing rock, paper, scissors doesn’t payoff?

It was a pretty intense night at the Warehouse and the winning throw was scissors (I believe). It was kind of weird and I couldn’t help but just laugh… for like an hour solid. Good times, good times… definitely have to go back to that place sometimes for some good pizza and perhaps a little skee-ball.
Chinese Food
February 11th, 2008So Friday afternoon one of my fellow students and TA’s offered to take me and another TA out for lunch. I suppose it was to thank us for covering his recitations this semester (stupid TOEFL exams), which is no big deal to me, but he seemed to appreciate it. So out for some Chinese food we went.
I must say it was quite the enlightening experience, despite having made a fool of myself trying to use chop-sticks, but they understood (and laughed, as did I, but at least I kept with them the whole time). The food was amazing, and was not quite the americanized chineese food you often find around here (or at least where I’m from). I’ll admit the tofu was good, the chicken was spicy and a pain to pick up, the cold beef made me want a roast beef sandwich, and my favorite was the shrimp… who were staring at me the whole time. I didn’t have the stomach to eat the heads, but the rest was really good and had a bit of a kick.
The food wasn’t the best part, it certainly didn’t compare to the company. Despite having been in the same program, classes and massive office, we never really talked much. I learned a great deal about their culture, of course most of it was centered around language, meals, school and oddly marriage. Quite possibly the most enlightening lunch I’ve had, well since my Dad took me out after I passed my road test (but that’s another story for another day). So before the end of the semester I’m taking them out for some wings, a true American and Buffalo meal.
Later kids.
